BOZEMAN — Gallatin County officials are searching for an armed man who was involved in a shootout with officers near Bozeman Pass.

Officers are looking for 36-year-old Shaunesy Cole, who ran away after the shootout Monday night or early Tuesday east of Bozeman.

Cole is described as Caucasian, 5 feet, 11 inches (180 centimeters) tall and about 170 pounds (77 kilograms) with a red Mohawk haircut that was pressed down. He has numerous tattoos on his legs, arms and hands.

Officials did not say if anyone was injured during the shootout, what led to it or when exactly it occurred.
