Kalispell Albertsons held a grand reopening on July 11 after its first significant remodel since 1972. The remodel includes upgraded deli and bakery departments, a new pharmacy, new meat department and expanded produce selections.

The remodel was made possible by a new tax-credit program that brings below-market interest rates and large subsidies to projects that will positively impact the community.

The New Markets Tax Credits is available through MoFi, a nonprofit that helps businesses with creative financing solutions. The NMTC program has seen bipartisan support in Montana with both U.S. Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines supporting program

“The NMTC program is allowing us to better provide what our shoppers want – an increased selection of fresh products throughout the store and expanded offerings on the shelves,” said Ramon Gomez, store director of the Kalispell Albertsons. “Now, we will be able to offer the residents of Kalispell what can be found in larger communities,”
