Westby-Grenora’s Jeremiah Paine drilled a 30-yard field goal with just more than three minutes remaining to send the East team home with a 24-21 win in the 72nd annual East-West Shrine Game July 21 in Great Falls.

The West team led 14-7 at halftime and went back in front in the third quarter when Columbia Falls’ Austin Green hooked up with Conor McCarvel (Helena Capital) on a 11-yard touchdown pass to make the score 21-14.

The top 80 now-graduated seniors from throughout the state of Montana took part in the game, including 12 from Northwest Montana.
