A 60-year-old Hungry Horse woman died Wednesday night in a structure fire, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.
The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. on Aug. 8 and the home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
Once the fire was extinguished, fire personnel discovered the woman’s body inside. The body has been transported to the Montana State Crime Lab for positive identification and an autopsy, but is believed to be the resident, according to Curry.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the victim’s name will be released upon positive identification.
