Man Killed in Car Crash in Libby

Man was driving at 90 miles per hour before hitting telephone pole

Law enforcement is investigating a fatal car crash that occurred in Libby on Aug. 9.

According to Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe, law enforcement received a report of a man driving erratically through Libby at approximately 5:30 p.m. According to witnesses, the man was driving at speeds up to 90 miles per hour and swerving all over the road. The man eventually crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Idaho Avenue.

Bowe said the driver was a man from the Missoula area in his early 30s.
