Chicken Homicide Investigation

2:50 a.m. A Lakeside resident wanted some deputies to drive by her neighbor’s house to make sure they were not “up to something.”

7:13 a.m. Someone reported that an old truck with four bald tires was leaking oil.

8:20 a.m. The sheriff’s office received a fax.

10:04 a.m. Two Kalispell chickens were murdered. The owner of the birds had a canine suspect in mind.

10:10 a.m. A dog bit someone in Bigfork.

10:34 a.m. A golf cart was stolen in Lakeside.

11:33 a.m. Some horses were hanging out in the middle of the road.

12:01 p.m. A Marion woman was upset because her neighbor’s cat always “taunts” the flock of birds she feeds at her home.

12:44 p.m. A Bigfork woman found some meat in her driveway and she’s convinced that it’s evidence of an elaborate ploy to poison all of the pets in the neighborhood.

4:52 p.m. A Bigfork cat bit a local resident.

5:23 p.m. A Kalispell woman found a dead bat.

5:54 p.m. Three cows were standing in the road near Helena Flats.

6:46 p.m. A Whitefish man said “an internet site is controlling my phone and computer.”

8:46 p.m. A Kalispell resident reported that he saw two people go to that “wooded area where people go to do drugs.”

9:30 p.m. A Lakeside man said he was offered $200,000 for his child. He declined the offer and called police.

9:52 p.m. A pregnant Kalispell woman was screaming and banging on a door.
