Bigfork High School alum and University of Colorado distance runner Makena Morley will get another chance to add to her growing list of accolades at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 8-9 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Morley will compete in the 3,000-meter race at the event, fresh off a second-place finish at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in Seattle in late February. Morley is ranked 10th in the nation at 3,000 meters after posting a season-best time of 9:02.47 in the MPSF final.

Morley earned Second Team All-America honors during the indoor track and field season in 2017, finishing 14th in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA meet. A four-time state cross country champion in high school, Morley has also garnered All-America honors in cross country (2018) and outdoor track and field (10,000-meters in 2018) at Colorado.
