MISSOULA — A Montana man and woman have been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to stabbing two people to death and trying to dissolve their bodies in chemical-filled tubs.

The Missoulian reports that Friday’s sentencing of Augustus Standingrock and Tiffanie Pierce was for two life terms each to run concurrently and with the possibility of parole.

The sentences are in line with the recommendations prosecutors made in plea agreements with Standingrock and Pierce. Standingrock pleaded guilty to deliberate homicide and accountability to deliberate homicide, while Pierce pleaded guilty to attempted deliberate homicide and accountability to deliberate homicide.

Police found the bodies of 24-year-old Jackson Wiles and 15-year-old Marilyn Pickett dismembered and partially dissolved in the basement of Pierce’s Missoula home in August 2017.
