Glacier Girls Soccer Alone in First at Season’s Midway Point

Wolfpack downed defending conference champion Missoula Big Sky for sixth straight win

The Wolfpack scored twice in the second half to rally and beat Missoula Big Sky 2-1 on Thursday, Sept. 19, knocking off the defending conference champions and earning their sixth consecutive win.

Halfway through the Class AA soccer season, Glacier is 6-0-1 and alone in first place in the Western AA conference. The Wolfpack tied Missoula Hellgate (5-0-2) in their first match of the year and have outscored the opposition 21-6 since then, rolling through the rest of the eight-team league. Big Sky was the state runner-up in Class AA in 2018.

Junior Madison Becker leads Glacier with six goals and four assists so far this season. Emma Paulson has added five goals and three helpers. The Wolfpack open the second half of the season with a crosstown rematch against Flathead at Legends Stadium on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m.
