MISSOULA — Police in Missoula are investigating an explosion at an automated teller machine at a bank. Two people have been detained.

Witnesses reported seeing a man in a gray minivan pour liquid on the ATM and ignite it, causing an explosion at about 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

The ATM was damaged, but no injuries were reported.

Detective Sgt. Travis Welsch said the vehicle was located several blocks away and two people were detained.

The First Security Bank branch was closed after the explosion.
