Glacier’s boys and girls basketball teams rebounded from a rough Friday night to sweep Butte on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Glacier High School.

In the boys game, the Wolfpack (5-3, 2-2 Western AA) opened up a 16-point halftime lead and rolled to a 70-50 win to remain in the top-half of the conference standings. Glacier lost 70-42 to undefeated Missoula Hellgate on Friday night. The Glacier girls (3-5, 2-2) held off the Bulldogs to win 64-55, one night after their own 61-37 loss to the Knights in Missoula. Flathead’s teams had no such luck with Butte on Friday, when the Bulldogs took down the Braves and Bravettes.

In Class A, Polson’s boys continued their hot play of late with a 53-52 win against Whitefish on Friday and a 63-44 rout of Libby one day later. The Pirates (7-4, 4-2 Northwest A) have won four straight conference games. Browning (6-3, 4-0) hammered Columbia Falls at home on Jan. 18 and sits alone atop the league standings, as do the Indians girls (7-2, 4-0).
