A 30-year-old man was partially ejected from his vehicle and killed in a single-car rollover crash on U.S. Highway 93 north of Olney on Friday, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The unidentified driver was headed northbound when his passenger car drifted toward the edge of the roadway at mile marker 153 near Duck Lake, MHP Trooper Hensley said. The driver then overcorrected, causing the car to slide off the road and roll. Troopers received word of the crash around 3:30 a.m. and discovered the car in some trees a short time later. They found the man, who was not wearing his seatbelt, dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
