Fugitive Homicide Suspect Arrested in Lake County

Dominick Buccelli was wanted out of Yellowstone County for his involvement in a fatal July 20 hit-and-run crash

Deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 29-year-old fugitive from Yellowstone County after a brief pursuit near Polson on the morning of Friday, Aug. 14.

Dominick Buccelli, 29, is charged with vehicular homicide for his role in a July 20 hit-and-run crash that left one woman dead, according to the Billings Gazette. The Montana Highway Patrol announced on Thursday it was searching for the man and asked for the public’s help.

Friday, a Lake County spotted a stolen Dodge Ram in Polson and attempted to pull it over. The driver, identified as Buccelli, fled from the deputy at speeds reaching 90 miles per hour before the pursuit ended near U.S. Highway 93 and North Reservoir Road south of Polson, at which time Buccelli was taken into custody.

The Polson Police Department assisted in the pursuit.
