Suspect Killed in Officer-involved Shooting at Hungry Horse Reservoir

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies on May 29 were dispatched to a report of an assault involving a weapon in the Emery Bay area when the incident occurred

The suspect of a reported assault involving a weapon on Friday died during an officer-involved shooting in the Emery Bay area of the Hungry Horse Reservoir, according to a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office news release.

No sheriff’s office deputies were injured during the incident.

In accordance with standard protocol, the Kalispell Police Department will be conducting an independent investigation of the incident.
