HELENA – Two people were injured when a small airplane crashed into a house and shed in a residential neighborhood west of the Helena Regional Airport.
The crash was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Independent Record reports one man was loaded into an ambulance on a gurney and another walked on.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer says the plane was a single engine Piper PA-28. Helena Assistant Fire Chief Ken Wood says the plane clipped a tree and crashed into part of the house and a shed.
The plane sustained serious damage, but did not catch fire.
KTVH-TV reported a power line also was knocked down.
There was no immediate word on whether anyone was in the house or what caused the crash.
FAA records indicate the single-engine airplane is registered to pilot Robert Henry Koch and Kristina Koch of Helena.
