MISSOULA – Some are questioning whether University of Montana President Royce Engstrom is the right leader for the state’s flagship university.
Some faculty are even calling for a vote of no confidence in Engstrom.
The Missoulian reports that the discontent comes after Engstrom recently announced massive staff and faculty cuts were imminent.
A written summary provided by the UM Faculty Senate of more than 120 emails says there are questions about the ability of the current leadership and noted calls for a vote of no confidence.
Engstrom says he appreciates the passion students and employees have for UM, and he is cultivating inclusion on campus.
