6:32 a.m. A Kalispell man called 911 after waking up in his landlord’s yard. He claimed that his truck had been ransacked and felt that, at some point during the night, he had been hit in the head.
7:12 a.m. An employee of a local gas station reported that a bearded man with a stomach ache came in and asked to use the phone. Apparently, he called 911 and repeated the name of a local restaurant several times before hanging up.
7:32 a.m. Two dogs were heard barking on West Cottonwood Drive.
9:18 a.m. An employee at a Kalispell gas station has incriminating footage of a candy thief in action.
9:39 a.m. A Bigfork woman reported that the “acting manager” of her apartment complex stole the “ceramic little boy” from her back deck. Both the resident and the manager claimed ownership of the little boy, had their own unique stories regarding its origin, and both had “witnesses” to support their claims. The case remains unsolved, but will not be going to court.
3:41 p.m. An employee of a business on Highway 2 East reported that someone stole one candy bar worth $1.89.
4:31 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman reported that someone stole her plants and planters from her front yard.
7:03 p.m. A resident on Lower Valley Road reported that he, his wife, and his dog were all “freaked out” by the strange lights they saw over the Swan Range. A deputy determined that the phenomenon was created moonlight.
