Authorities Searching for Art Stolen from Wild Horse Island Home

Wild Horse Island was hit with a string of burglaries earlier this year

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help solve a string of burglaries that happened earlier this spring on Wild Horse Island.

According to Sheriff Don Bell, at least five cabins on the island in Flathead Lake were broken into over the spring. Three pieces of art were stolen from one of the homes and now the owner is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who has information that would lead to the recovery of the pieces.

The sheriff’s office says the trail has gone cold and there are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information about these burglaries or about these pieces of art is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at (406) 883-7309 or the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 883-7301. Anyone who offers information to Lake County Sheriff’s Office will be kept anonymous.
