Authorities are searching for a 25-year-old Arizona woman who went missing in the Great Bear Wilderness.
Madeline Connelly was visiting family in the area and went on a day hike with her dog near Essex on May 4. Family members became worried when she did not return that night. On May 6, family members discovered Connelly’s truck at the Bear Creek Trailhead just east of Essex and a full-scale search of the area was launched.
The search is entering its third day.
Sheriff Chuck Curry said the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Two Bear Air, North Valley Search and Rescue and Glacier National Park are heading up the search.
