MISSOULA – The Montana Board of Regents will begin the process of finding a new University of Montana president with a workshop next month.

UM President George Dennison plans to retire in August. The Board of Regents will hold a public meeting on Feb. 17 to discuss timelines and the search process for a new president.

A similar workshop was held last year in Bozeman to kick off the search for Geoff Gamble’s successor as president of Montana State University. Waded Cruzado was selected for the post and began work at MSU in January.
