Whitefish Mountain Resort opened its two new alpine slides on August 14. The resort’s original slide from 2009 was redesigned, and a second slide was added in light of the activity’s surging popularity. The “Forest” slide runs 1,704 feet, while the “Meadow” slide is 1,587 feet long. A roughly 285 foot drop in elevation carries riders up to 25mph over big dips, banking turns and even through a tunnel.
