More than 2,500 people, including law enforcement officers from local, state and federal agencies, attended a memorial service in Kalispell on Thursday morning for Brad Treat, a 38-year-old U.S. Forest Service law enforcement officer who was killed June 29 while mountain biking near his home in West Glacier. Treat was born in Kalispell and grew up in the Flathead Valley, where he became a state-champion distance runner at Flathead High School. He served for the U.S. Forest Service for 15 years.
