Rainbow Peak and Bowman Lake

One of the shiniest gems of the North Fork region of Glacier National Park is undoubtedly Bowman Lake and the rugged country which rims it. The lake's icy, cerulean blue water spans seven miles long and about half a mile wide. Rainbow Peak, the most prominent mountain rising from the lakeshore, towers nearly 6,000 ft above water level where a glacier still clings to its upper eastern slopes.
