Whitefish Crews Increase Hours to Reduce Delays on U.S. 93 North

Crews began cutting down the steep grade located at Ramsey Avenue

By Beacon Staff

The road construction west of Whitefish continues, and crews are adding onto their hours in an effort to reduce delays.

Schellinger Construction said its crews will be working from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Schellinger recommends planning for delays and occasional one-lane traffic during these hours. Last week crews completed the new storm drainage system from Ramsey Avenue to the entrance of Whitefish Lake Golf Club. Crews also removed brush and utility installation is ongoing continue but no outages are anticipated.

Additionally, a brief detour will be arranged for Ramsey Avenue that will allow drivers to access Highway 93 West via Karrow Avenue. Schellinger anticipated restoring Ramsey Avenue’s access to the highway by Aug. 5.

Starting Aug. 1, Schellinger began cutting down the steep grade located at Ramsey Avenue in order to increase visibility. Additionally, installation of a new sanitation sewer system will be started.
