Third Annual Pumpkin Carnival

Evergreen Elementary School hosting annual pumpkin carnival

By Dillon Tabish

Who can carve the best pumpkin, or eat the most pumpkin pie?

The answers will be decided at the third annual Pumpkin Carnival in Evergreen on Saturday, Oct. 25. Bring your family to this fun, lively event that is held annually at Evergreen Elementary School, 535 E. Evergreen Dr. The event begins at noon and ends at 4 p.m.

It will feature a slew of fun activities for the entire family, including candy corn bowling, ring toss, a fishing contest and more. The two main events are the pumpkin carving contest and pie eating contest. Contestants should carve their pumpkin at home and bring it to the event to display. Guests will vote on the best pumpkin, which will earn a prize.

Each kid who attends the event will be given 15 tickets, which will be enough for each activity at least once. More tickets can be purchased for 25 cents apiece.

The event is hosted by Evergreen School and Family Friendly Flathead, a local organization that encourages families to spend quality time together without breaking the bank.
