TV Producers Turn to State for Casting, Locations

HELENA – Television producers are turning their eyes toward Montana for an upcoming miniseries about Lewis and Clark and a new season for a house-hunting program.

Great Falls casting director Rene Haynes is holding casting calls in Missoula, Polson and Browning next month for an HBO miniseries based on the Lewis and Clark expedition.

The roles will be for an actress to play Sacagawea and young Native American male horseback riders. Haynes also is seeking Native language speakers 18 and older.

The HGTV series “Living Big Sky” also will be returning to Montana to film 12 episodes over the next year.

The show features the state’s landscape as couples search for new homes in Montana.
