HELENA — Republican Montana Congressman-elect Ryan Zinke has hired Randy Vogel to oversee his state offices.

Vogel is a former Billings police officer who served as state director for former U.S. House Rep. Denny Rehberg for eight years. In that role, Vogel traveled the state to listen to the concerns of Montanans and worked to ensure that those concerns were brought to Rehberg’s attention. Vogel also worked for U.S. Rep. Steve Daines as his eastern regional director.

Zinke says as his state director, Vogel has the know-how to help make his office as effective as possible.

Vogel says he looks forward to helping Zinke promote a business friendly environment in the state by getting rid of unnecessary regulations and creating jobs.

Zinke defeated Democrat John Lewis in the November midterm election.
