HAMILTON — A Stevensville man suspected of assaulting a bartender was duct-taped by fellow patrons and held for police.

The Ravalli Republic reports  27-year-old Jeremy A. Estep was arrested in front of the Rustic Hut in Florence on Saturday.

Court records allege Estep returned after being kicked out of the bar, began arguing with the bartender and tried to hit him with a glass.

A female bartender told officers she grabbed his arm and other customers took him to the ground and taped his wrists together to hold him until officers arrived.

Estep denied trying to hit the bar owner.

Estep made an initial appearance Tuesday on charges of felony assault, disorderly conduct, trespass and driving with a suspended license. His bail was set at $30,000.
