In Montana, we have been talking about Medicaid expansion for over two years. During this time, a powerful few in our Legislature have refused to do anything except say no, and it is hurting our state.

For the past two years, we have left 70,000 people who need health insurance behind. We turned away nearly $650 million in federal funds. These funds were to help insure these folks, create nearly 12,000 health care jobs in our state and help our rural hospitals.

There is a plan to expand Medicaid. It is a unique Montana solution based off the Healthy Montana Kids model that has been such a huge success. We need to pass this because it is the right thing to do for our state.
