Democratic Super PAC Spends $500,000 in Montana Ads

The House Majority PAC is buying advertising in four Montana markets

BILLINGS — A Democratic super PAC is spending $500,000 on Montana TV ads in favor of Denise Juneau in Montana’s U.S. House race.

The Billings Gazette reports that the House Majority PAC is buying advertising in four Montana markets as part of a 13-state effort to narrow the gap with the Republican majority. Democrats need to win 30 more House seats to claim the majority.

The House Majority PAC ad portrays incumbent Republican Pre. Ryan Zinke as self-absorbed and only focused on his career, not Montana. This marks the first time a super PAC has purchased advertising in Montana.

Montana hasn’t elected a Democrat to the U.S. House in 20 years but weak support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has some Democrats hoping conservatives skip the election.
