Religious Disagreement

9:46 a.m. A Kalispell resident reported that someone had broken into their home and taken a laptop, a camera and a family member’s ashes.

11:27 a.m. A man in a blanket was hitchhiking on the Going-to-the-Sun Road in West Glacier.

12:04 p.m. A security guard at a local box store claimed that another man posing as a security guard had stolen a woman’s wallet the previous night.

12:43 p.m. Two Martin City men were talking about religion while shoveling their respective driveways when a disagreement arose and one of them whacked the other with his snow shovel.

3:48 p.m. A creek was running over Foothill Road in Kalispell. A local resident was concerned that the creek would freeze and cause traffic troubles.

4:05 p.m. Some snowmobilers were cruising around the old Columbia Falls aluminum plant in a place they shouldn’t have been.

8:09 p.m. A Polson woman called to report that someone had stolen money off of her Kmart rewards card.

9:46 p.m. A Bigfork woman called police to report that her ankle bracelet was beeping. Law enforcement informed the woman’s parole officer, who said his client shouldn’t be calling 911 for technical assistance.
