BILLINGS — Authorities say an elderly man is dead after crashing his pickup through a yard in Billings, shearing the vehicle apart and sending a fence pole through the cab.

Authorities say the 70-year-old Billings man suffered a medical event that caused him to crash.

The crash Tuesday sheared the vehicle apart and sent a fence pole through the cab.

Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Cliff Mahoney tells The Billings Gazette that Kenneth George Kostelecky died of an unspecified medical condition.

The Gazette reports the man’s truck hopped the curb in multiple spots Tuesday and crashed into a chain-link fence, severely damaging the vehicle. No other vehicles were involved.
