By Christie Burns

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:

2:17 a.m. Someone called in about a suspicious man wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt standing behind a gas station. The weird man was gone when deputies arrived.

5:53 a.m. An 18-year-old male was caught stealing a bottle of champagne from an Evergreen grocery store. He said he was “drunk and wanted to get drunker.”

11:37 a.m. Someone called in about a picnic table at a Kalispell school that had been broken up and thrown into a pile. However, it wasn’t an act of vandalism. A maintenance worker had broken it up and intended to throw it in the trash.

12:22 p.m. Two young girls were seen racing and driving recklessly in a Grand Prix and a Jeep Cherokee.

3:21 p.m. Someone called in about a kid who looked strung out on drugs. Turns out the kid was just really hyper.

10:50 p.m. A man from a trailer park in Kalispell called in to report that his intimidating neighbor drove at him in his car.

10:54 p.m. A woman from Bigfork called in because someone rang her doorbell and ran away.

The departments responded to 129 calls for service.
