HELENA – Montana’s lone member of the U.S. House has raised nearly $764,000 for his re-election bid.
Republican Denny Rehberg, seeking a fifth term in the House, reports raising $118,000 during the six weeks that ended May 14. Among the Democrats vying to challenge Rehberg, Jim Hunt of Helena reported raising $56,000 during the same span, boosting his total to $189,000 since he entered the race in February.
Hunt, John Driscoll of Helena and Robert Candee of Richey are running for the Democratic nomination to oppose Rehberg in the November election. Driscoll and Candee have not been actively raising money.
Voters will choose the Democratic nominee June 3.
On May 14, Rehberg had $626,000 in his account, compared to Hunt’s $100,000.
