Police Blotter: Threatened Dog and Box Cutter Attack

3:30 a.m. Deputies checked out two men who ran across U.S. Highway 2 and hid in the ditch on the west side of the road.

3:15 a.m. Dogs were chasing some horses on Lake Blaine Road.

4:04 p.m. Deputies failed to locate someone who was driving a white minivan like a jerk on Hart Hill Road.

5:08 p.m. A woman received threats from her malevolent ex-boyfriend and his mother.

6:17 p.m. A man said he was going to pop a cap in his neighbor’s dog if he saw the mutt on his land again.

6:29 p.m. The driver of a black Dodge pickup truck allegedly pulled over, got out of his truck and peed on the ground near a storage facility.

7:33 p.m. Two rafters were eventually found near Polebridge.

9:15 p.m. Someone on Yorman Hall Road reported hearing rapid gunshot fire on the south end of their property.

10:39 p.m. Cavers on a caving expedition near Polebridge were contacted after they were reported missing.

11:32 p.m. A 21-year-old Florida man allegedly used a box cutter to stab a 29-year-old Evergreen man on the shoulder. This happened after the older man and his girlfriend gave the other man a ride from one bar to another. Supposedly the younger man had been talking dirtythe older man’s girlfriend.

2:35 a.m. Seven kids were seen peering through the windows of an Evergreen middle school.

3:47 p.m. A two-story home in Columbia Falls burned. The house was fully engulfed.

The departments responded to 130 calls for service.
