Good morning; on this date in 1969 the Woodstock music festival began.

In other news, state fire marshals in Montana and Wyoming have reported far fewer wildfires this year than last year. Montana’s unemployment rate dropped to 4 percent in July. Ralph Nader has qualified for the Montana presidential ballot. Environmentalists and property owners near Yellowstone are intervening in a lawsuit over the capture and hazing of bison there. Montana farmers earned $1 million last year for no till or low till programs to keep carbon in the ground.
