On the Beacon today, Myers Reece profiles two young Flathead girls who spend their Saturday nights blasting around the track driving racecars. Awesome photos by Lido, too. For ten years now, SnowDog Web Development has grown from a tiny startup to an award-winning firm designing Web sites for some of the top companies in the region. And Warren Miller recounts a delightful flight sitting across from the airplane’s leaking lavatory.
In other news, state fire marshals in Montana and Wyoming have reported far fewer wildfires this year than last year. Montana’s unemployment rate dropped to 4 percent in July. Ralph Nader has qualified for the Montana presidential ballot. Environmentalists and property owners near Yellowstone are intervening in a lawsuit over the capture and hazing of bison there. Montana farmers earned $1 million last year for no till or low till programs to keep carbon in the ground.
And finally, two Bigfoot hunters will reveal today the body of a Sasquatch they found in north Georgia – check out the pic! And have a great weekend at the fair!
