Police Blotter: Sleeping Hitchhiker and Man in the Bushes

8:34 a.m. A man was arrested without incident. He had warrants, including one for assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

8:56 a.m. Someone was hitchhiking to Spokane.

11:11 a.m. There was sleeping hitchhiker on Gopher Lane.

12:01 p.m. Someone thought an ice cream salesman was suspicious.

2:50 p.m. Squirrels that were chewing through electrical lines had a woman and her brother-in-law at each other’s throats.

4:48 p.m. A woman called in because someone lit a piece of paper on fire and then put it on her porch.

6:07 p.m. Kids were rolling a tire down Foys Lake Hill.

10:22 p.m. A .44-caliber handgun that was stolen was recovered from a pawnshop.

11:51 p.m. A woman heard a man in the bushes by Mountain View Drive.

The departments responded to 176 calls for service.
