Glenn Beck interviewed Texas Republican Rep. Leo Berman on his program Thursday. The state representative is pushing similar gun legislation to that recently approved by the Montana Legislature that exempts guns manufactured and sold in-state from federal regulations.
Backers of Montana’s legislation, which was already signed by Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer, hope it will set off a legal showdown that tests the fed’s regulatory authority.
The odds of the Supreme Court siding with Montana if the bill does get that far? Well, Fox news analyst and former Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano thinks they’re pretty good. He said the high court would side with Montana, either 5-4 or 6-3.
