Flathead County Sheriff’s and Kalispell Police Reports

Drunken Transient and Escaped Goats

By Julius Macker

2:45 a.m. Someone called twice from Evergreen to inform a dispatcher that a man in a silver Chevy was yelling.

3:27 a.m. Beach Road in Bigfork is still safe.

7:48 p.m. Mail was scattered all over the road. Two mailboxes were destroyed.

9:22 a.m. A clerk in Ferndale said a man tried six credit cards, but each card was declined. Instead, the clerk took a check.

10:53 a.m. A deputy helped a man herd some sheep on Whitefish Stage Road.

11:04 a.m. A man was concerned that his neighbor, who is spraying weeds, would accidently kill his trees.

12:13 p.m. A road rage incident resulted in stitches for one man. He was punched in the eye in the parking lot of an Evergreen box store.

1:53 p.m. Reports indicate that two mailboxes were smashed. And again, mail was all over the roadway.

2 p.m. Three goats were captured and returned to their home near the Flathead River Bridge.

2:38 p.m. A 45-year-old man, who was arrested last week for being a drunken nuisance, was arrested again. This time he was intoxicated at a public park. Earlier in the week, he was kicked out of a convenience store, a hotel and was also found passed out on a bench. All the incidents were alcohol related.

3:24 p.m. The goats escaped again. This time they ate $100 worth of flowers on Helena Flats Road. The neighbor of the goats was livid.

7:58 p.m. A man, who was kicked out of the same Evergreen box store twice, was again booted from the establishment. Reportedly, he entered an eatery, used profanity, refused to leave and, according to the caller, looked like he was on drugs.

10:02 p.m. Nineteen hours after the last report another report was logged about Beach Road being safe.
