By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA – Missoula company Jim Palmer Trucking has emerged from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

President Lonnie Wallace says it’s time to rebuild the business now that a plan for paying creditors has been approved in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Jim Palmer Trucking employs about 360 people.

Ten months ago, creditors were threatening to repossess one-fourth of the company’s truck fleet.

Wallace says the survival of Jim Palmer Trucking has been helped by creditors patient about getting paid, and by employees who agreed to take on more work for less pay.
