The Flathead County Animal Shelter is facing some familiar problems: lots of animals, not much staff and not nearly enough money. But a new nonprofit organization and growing foster care program are helping. And this weekend the shelter is having an open house with adoption specials for its animals, many of which have been left given economic troubles.
Darrell, a basset hound mix, was Myers and Lido’s favorite canine friend when they recently reported this story.
