Kids on the Run and Man With Gun

6:23 a.m. A sawdust bin caught fire near a Columbia Falls gas station.

6:31 a.m. In Kila, a blue heeler was viciously attacked by a neighborhood pit bull. The victim was bleeding from the foot.

9:05 a.m. A lady was walking along Reserve when a silver Ford veered toward her. The driver then screamed at the unsuspecting woman.

9:18 a.m. Two cows and three calves were on the road, headed for the highway.

10:27 a.m. Someone tossed a brick through the window of a local elementary school.

10:33 a.m. Several very thin horses were seen near Marion. They did, however, have hay and water and were quite healthy.

11:04 a.m. A very angry man showed up at another man’s house. Evidently, he had cosigned on a motorcycle loan and the responsible party was not making his payments.

11:56 a.m. A pit bull chased a cat on Tamarack Lane.

12:58 p.m. Cones placed in the road by a lawn service company evidently frustrated a male driver. He proceeded to drive over, rather than around the cones.

1:06 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident arrived home to find her doors open and her dogs missing. Though she claims foul play, investigators found that the dogs had merely escaped.

1:07 p.m. Someone reports that two bear cubs are in a tree near her home.

1:58 p.m. A lost load of lumber obstructed the roadway.

2:08 p.m. A lady in Essex needed stitches after being bitten by a dog.

4:19 p.m. Reports of a “man down” behind a large box store turned out to be a transient taking a nap.

3:09 p.m. An individual in Whitefish received medical attention after getting gasoline in his eyes. How he managed to do so is unknown.

4:17 p.m. Reportedly, a deer on Rainbow Drive was giving birth and possibly dying. Fish and Game responded.

4:39 p.m. A twelve-year-old female called to report that she and a peer were having an argument.

5:14 p.m. A Helena Flats resident has had enough of neighbor kids stealing her mail.

5:29 p.m. In Whitefish, a border collie was trapped beneath the deck of a home. The dog was hastily freed.

6:25 p.m. Someone who was assaulted long ago has finally decided to press charges.

6:45 p.m. Three adult males were riding the rails and subsequently trespassing on railroad property. They were kicked off in West Glacier.

8:38 p.m. At least twenty juveniles were enjoying intoxicating beverages in Hungry Horse. Only two remained when authorities arrived, and both were cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.

9:19 p.m. A woman locked herself in the bathroom when her ex-husband arrived at her home. Both parties had been drinking.

9:24 p.m. Suspicious puffs of smoke emanated from a transient individual’s campfire.

10:10 p.m. Two people were walking near Emery Bay.

11:28 p.m. Two individuals were talking in their car at a local sports complex. A passer-by considered this highly suspicious.

11:43 p.m. Someone on Tamarack Lane can hear someone prowling outside their home. No such individual was found.

12:30 a.m. A routine traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase bridging Flathead and Lake counties. The vehicle proceeded southbound on Highway 35 from Kalispell at 90 miles per hour, veering across all lanes of traffic, until authorities placed stop sticks in their path. This flattened both front tire and slowed progress to 35 miles per hour, at which point Montana Highway Patrol apprehended the driver and passengers. All three occupants were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

12:31 a.m. A single car rolled after missing a corner off of Highway 93.

1:42 a.m. An individual was taken to jail after breaking into a Sleepy Hollow home.

2:15 a.m. A drunken individual, age 67, entered a home in Coram brandishing a gun. He expressed his intention to shoot a resident of the house, who at the time was sleeping in another room. His fury stemmed from the death of his dog, which apparently occurred at the hands of the sleeping individual.

2:47 a.m. A suspicious-looking gentleman was wandering around the parking lot of an Evergreen box store.
