The Haunting in Hungry Horse and a Low Speed Chase

12:10 a.m. Several individuals were riding their bicycles on the highway near a Columbia Falls supermarket. This alarmed a passing motorist.

12:34 a.m. Lost persons on the North Fork Road found their own way out.

1:04 a.m. An intoxicated pedestrian hitched a ride home with a patrolling officer.

1:36 a.m. Someone in Shady Lane did not appreciate that another individual was beating up her boyfriend. Authorities responded and resolved the issue.

3:07 a.m. At a residence in Hungry Horse, someone broke in through a window and began to search for three children who apparently ought to have been there. Both the intruder and the party that should have been watching the kids were intoxicated. Luckily, the children were later safely located at a relative’s home.

6:35 a.m. The back window was intentionally busted from a vehicle in Whitefish.

8:31 a.m. Someone called to report that their roommate had not taken their medication and now believed to be taken over by demons. The individual is a resident of Hungry Horse and will be seeing a mental health professional.

8:37 a.m. A resident of Jellison Road in Columbia Falls was upset because a neighbor’s dog chased two raccoons up a tree.

10:27 a.m. Chaos ensued when a llama escaped from his enclosure on Ponderosa Drive. Numerous individuals chased and attempted to capture the creature, but to no avail. The llama was gone when authorities arrived.

12:34 p.m. A family refused to leave a room that had already been rented to someone else at a Bigfork resort, despite being offered other comparable accommodations. Authorities arrived and the family vacated the room.

1:13 p.m. A vehicle was seen near Swan Lake displaying the words “help me” on the rearview window. The vehicle has yet to be located.

1:19 p.m. Someone saw a man beating a puppy in Coram. The situation will be investigated further.

2:32 p.m. A 13-year-old male cut an electrical wire on Eckleberry Drive in Columbia Falls, causing smoke, sparking and an electrical smell.

3:59 p.m. Authorities finally apprehended a man who eluded arrest in the recent past. After a short pursuit on Willow Glen Drive, the individual abandoned his car in a farmer’s field and continued on foot. He was quickly caught and is now spending time behind bars.

4:02 p.m. Someone threatened to hit an individual in Kila, after which the victim removed the spark plugs from the would-be assailant’s car and left the area on foot.

4:30 p.m. A 4- or 5-year-old child walked to a Bigfork convenience store by himself. Authorities arrived an returned the child to his mother.

5:38 p.m. Someone spotted their dog at a beach in Somers after it had run away two months prior. The dognapper denied that he had found the dog, insisting that it was his own.

7:25 p.m. Four children were reportedly locked in a camp trailer behind a bar on Stillwater Lake while their mother and her boyfriend enjoyed alcoholic beverages inside. The bartender spoke with the children, who were apparently perfectly fine.

8:55 p.m. A man in Columbia Falls was peering into various residences and even attempted to enter one of the homes. The individual was gone when authorities arrived.

9:19 p.m. Reports of a forest fire on Big Mountain sparked an in-depth search for the source of the claim. Land and air reconnaissance found only a smoking chimney in the area.

9:48 p.m. On Trumbull Canyon Road, a vehicle containing six children rolled down an embankment after a 2-year-old knocked the vehicle into gear. While it appears that the 2-year-old sustained injury to the head, none of the other children were harmed.

3:39 a.m. A barn on Braig Road in Columbia Falls was fully engulfed in flames. The blaze was extinguished within an hour.
