Six Women Sue Wells Fargo in Federal Court

By Beacon Staff

HELENA – Six women have filed a federal lawsuit against Wells Fargo bank alleging that they were wrongly fired and discriminated against because of their gender.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday by Georgia Arnold, Jennifer Finstad, Michelle Jones, Meridith McWilliams, Lori Elliott and Kelsey George.

An official at Wells Fargo’s Helena bank declined to comment on the lawsuit because of ongoing litigation.

In the lawsuit, Arnold contends that she and the other women were wrongly fired after she called her company’s ethics tip line anonymously to report she thought her supervisor wasn’t following banking standards in regards to debit cards.
