Civilian Speed Trap and a Dancing Bear

8:14 a.m. A man and woman threatened one another at a Hungry Horse gas station.

8:19 a.m. At a supermarket in Evergreen, a man stocking alcoholic beverages decided to partake of his wares without paying and while on the clock.

8:56 a.m. A mailbox and a shed door were damaged at a local church.

9:39 a.m. On Lynnewood Drive, a woman called to request that her ex-boyfriend be removed from the home. Authorities encouraged him to make a hasty exit.

10:22 a.m. Tools were stolen from a vehicle on Park Avenue in Evergreen.

11:04 a.m. A woman on Brunner Road claims that someone may have broken into her home. Authorities will provide extra patrol in the area.

11:16 a.m. An 18-year-old male attempted to leave an Evergreen grocery store with an unpaid-for bottle of rubbing alcohol.

11:35 a.m. Smoke and flames erupted from a chimney on Cliff Creek Road in Whitefish. Fortunately, the blaze was controlled using resources available on the scene.

12:50 p.m. A man driving on River Road in Columbia Falls was taken by surprise when another individual leaped out of the bushes, dashed around the front of the car and began screaming at the driver. Evidently, he does not appreciate it when vehicles exceed 10mph.

2:27 p.m. Although it worried several passers-by, a group of kids jumping from a bridge over the Flathead River were doing nothing illegal.

3:06 p.m. A gun was stolen from a home on Springcreek Drive.

5:24 p.m. On Burly Bear Trail in Whitefish, a woman was bitten three times by a neighbor’s dog.

6:26 p.m. A highly intoxicated man in Hungry Horse called to report that several individuals at a residence are “trying to rip him off.”

8:55 p.m. A man in Whitefish was treated for a severe eye injury after a bomb made of dry ice exploded in his face.

11:08 p.m. An intoxicated man ran about an apartment complex on Highway 2, banging on doors and causing problems.

11:27 p.m. Neighbors called to report a loud party outside a trailer home in Columbia Falls.

1:40 a.m. An individual claims to have seen a large bear while walking through a local cemetery. The bear was apparently jumping up and down at the time of the sighting.

3:12 a.m. A woman stood outside a home in Hungry Horse and threw rocks at another male individual.
