A 52-year-old man has been charged with murder after a stabbing in the bathroom of a Ronan bar.
Assistant Police Chief Art Walgren says Allen Metzger of Ronan was charged Tuesday with deliberate homicide and carrying a concealed weapon in a prohibited place. The name of the 50-year old man who was stabbed is being withheld until his family can be notified of his death.
Charging documents say Metzger told officers the victim hit him over the head in the bathroom Sunday night so he pulled out a knife and swung it. The victim was first taken to a local hospital and then to one in Missoula, where he died.
