MISSOULA – Missoula police say a 29-year-old man has been arrested after someone shot at a police officer who was investigating a report of suspicious activity.
Lt. Scott Brodie says a patrol officer had responded to a call at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when an unknown man fired at least one shot at him. The officer dropped to the ground and called for assistance. Witnesses reported hearing several shots.
The suspect ran a few blocks north and was found in a back yard. He has been arrested, but no charges have been filed.
Brodie says three cars in the same area had been broken into, but it’s not clear yet if that is related to the shooting.
