The following are statements from Montana’s U.S. delegation in response to the news that former Sen. Conrad Burns was hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
Congressman Denny Rehberg: “Jan and I have been in close touch with Conrad’s family since learning he was admitted to the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. When I saw Conrad this weekend, he looked as strong as ever, and if I know anything about old marines like him, they’re fighters.”
Sen. Max Baucus: “During this difficult time, I join with Montanans across the state in keeping Conrad, Phyllis, and their entire family in my thoughts and prayers.”
Sen. Jon Tester: “Sharla’s and my thoughts and prayers are with Conrad, Phyllis and their family. We join all Montanans in wishing him a speedy recovery.”
