Irascible Passenger and a Domestic Dispute

8:49 a.m. Four loose horses wandered around on Wild Goose Lane. The creatures evaded all attempts to capture them.

9:39 a.m. Although someone apparently kicked in the door at a home on Haywire Gulch, nothing was taken from the residence.

10:36 a.m. A male subject reportedly cut his friend on the wrist while horsing around. The incident was allegedly an accident.

11:51 a.m. A cell phone was stolen from a local cell phone vendor.

12:13 p.m. Drivers on West Valley Drive were impeded by the presence of an abandoned vehicle.

12:24 p.m. A local transient was not wanted at an Evergreen box store. The fellow was gone when authorities arrived.

12:34 p.m. A West Glacier home was totally engulfed in flames. No one was harmed in the blaze.

12:58 p.m. A camera was stolen from a car on Big Mountain.

2:47 p.m. What was reported as a wild juvenile party turned out to be two vehicles of youths talking loudly near Conrad Cemetery.

3:18 p.m. An overdue snowboarder went out of bounds on Big Mountain but was quickly located.

3:56 p.m. Someone fell in the lawn and garden section of an Evergreen box store. The unfortunate subject was taken to the hospital.

4:00 p.m. Several paintings were stolen from a home on Whitefish Stage Road.

5:56 p.m. A resident of Willow Glen Drive reports that a passing tractor trailer lost a tire, which then took out the reporting party’s fence.

8:31 p.m. A driver on Big Mountain Road reports that another motorist passed on a double yellow line.

9:16 p.m. A man at the Whitefish Amtrak station was allegedly threatening other passengers with his cane. The complaint was eventually cancelled, and train officials handled the conflict.

10:29 p.m. Two men and a woman argued over child custody issues in the parking lot of the Whitefish train station. One of the male subjects was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plains, MT.

11:58 p.m. Someone apparently walked into a Bigfork bar and said that a man was walking around outside with a sawed-off shotgun. Authorities located no such individual.

1:08 a.m. Authorities helped sort out a complex domestic dispute involving a man, his ex-wife and his current girlfriend. According to the ex-wife, the girlfriend shot the man in the foot. Although he had not in fact been shot in the foot, he was treated for what appeared to be a gunshot wound on his shoulder. The girlfriend was taken to the hospital for pain related to an alleged strangling.
