Racicot Joins Board of Plum Creek Timber Company

MISSOULA – Former Montana Gov. Marc Racicot has joined the Plum Creek Timber Co.’s board of directors.

Plum Creek president and chief executive officer Rick Holley says Racicot’s background as an experienced statesman and leader will be of great value to the company.

Racicot is also a board member for the Allied Capital Corp., Avista Corp., Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.

Seattle-based Plum Creek owns about 7 million acres of timber land in the United States and numerous sawmills and manufacturing plants.

The company owns 973,000 acres in Montana.

Racicot will serve on Plum Creek’s audit committee, which oversees the company’s financial statements, regulatory compliance and internal audits. The board meets quarterly.
